Maui Wowi at Camp Echo

July 30, 2007

We were up in beautiful Orange County, NY in the Hudson Valley for Camp Echo’s Hawaiian Day today. We made smoothies for the camp’s 500 or so campers and counselors. The camp has counselors from all over the world–Ukraine, Poland, New Zealand, the UK and from around the US as well. The kids were really fun and had a ball, especially with the drink umbrellas, which made their way into sand art on the beach.

Here we are at MasterCard’s annual family picnic in Purchase NY. Over 2,000 Mastercard employees and family members attended and we made around 1,500 smoothies in three hours (and looked good doing it!). The company chose a Hawaiian theme and had luau food, hula dancers and Hawaiian decorations.

It was a frequently soggy July 4th in New York City but the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of about a thousand JPMorgan Chase employees who came to 1 Chase Plaza to celebrate with their families and see the Macy’s fireworks. Maui Wowi made smoothies on the plaza and there were many other activities–a tatoo station, caricaturists (the best one, if you’re in the market for something great for events is Aron Laikin), lots of music and of course burgers and hot dogs.
