Commuter Day at Fashion Institute

Yesterday was Commuter Day at Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and the Student Activities added smoothies to the mix. FIT is always one of our favorite places to work–the students are great and, well, fashionable!

Johnson & Wales Breaks out the Blades

No ice-skating rink available for college students at Johnson & Wales? No problem! The student activities group set up a plastic, snap-together rink and a hot chocolate and latte bar (that was my excuse for not skating, had to make the drinks!) and a lot of fun was had by everyone. Johnson & Wales, based in Providence, RI, is a world-class university where students have an opportunity to pursue a career education in business, hospitality, culinary arts, or technology.

Casino Night at Salve Regina University

Salve Regina University in Newport, RI is one of the most beautiful campuses in the U.S. with historic buildings dating back to the 19th century. We brought our cappuccinos and hot chocolates to students for their annual Casino Night at the magnificent Wakehurst Student Center, built in the late 1800s and modeled after a 16th century English renaissance manor house. That didn’t stop the students from playing some raucous poker!
