Here we are at the North Fork Bank annual Client Appreciation Day event in Sayville, NY. Hundreds of bank customers came by on a sunny Friday afternoon to be welcomed and thanked by the bank’s manager and staff. After being a Maui Wowi franchisee and area developer for the past four years, I finally moved my office out of my bedroom and into an office nearby. It’s the shortest commute to work I’ve ever had: 2 miles. But the really nice part is the view of the West Sayville boat basin and the Great South Bay.

Maui Wowi Teams with American Express at 3rd Ave Fair

Was it the cool cup giveaway, the cool smoothies, or the cool blue of the American Express OPEN business card? Whatever it was, New Yorkers turned out in droves to visit the American Express booth at the Third Avenue Street Fair. We blended up over 3,500 smoothies in six hours — a lot, but not a record believe it or not! Thanks to our superb team (Nathan, Antonio, Rosie and Dave) we kept the lines moving with a smile–cajoling the line cutters to not even go there, keeping relative order amidst chaos–all in a day’s work for Maui Wowi! Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to walk across the street for the deep fried Oreos 😦

Maui Wowi at St. Joseph’s University
